It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
