Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills or staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
robot vacuum cleaner reviews should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer at a low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots, which is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available, but it packs in many extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers several features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
